Battery Law
The German Battery Law (BattG), valid from 1 Dec. 2009, was an important step in the direction of environmental protection – it regulates the rules for the disposal of used batteries and transforms the Battery Act, which has existed since 1998, into national law.
With the help of central collection points, it is possible to professionally recycle some of the old batteries, which makes an important contribution towards environmental protection and preserving important raw materials.
